The NT Container Deposit Scheme

The NT Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) provides public drop off points which pay the 10-cent refund for each container purchased in the NT. Some of the containers covered include soft drinks, fruit-based drinks and sports drinks (3L or less); favoured milk and water (less than 1L); and beer, cider and mixed drinks (3L or less). You can ensure you receive your refund by not crushing containers, keeping the lid on, presenting relatively clean containers and sorting containers into material types.
