Metal Collection: Tweed residents are able to drop off metal items for free to Stotts Creek Resource Recovery Centre all year round. eg. Derelict motor vehicles, unwanted farm machinery and unwanted white goods. All items are sent to processors to be recycled. Electronic Waste recycling: Tweed residents and small businesses are able to drop old televisions and computer equipment off for free all year round at the permanent collection point at Stott's Creek Resource Recovery Centre. Compact fluorescent and fluorescent light bulbs: Residents can bring used fluorescent light bulbs to the Stott's Creek Resource Recovery Centre free of charge and dispose of these in the dedicated collection point. The glass must be intact and preferably in packaging. These bulbs are broken down under controlled conditions and recycled. Other items accepted for free for recycling at the Stotts Creek Resource Recovery Centre include: all types of batteries (small household, car and boat batteries), empty gas bottles, mobile phones and waste oil. Tip shop - at Stotts Creek Resource Recovery Centre. Purchase secondhand goods. Open weekdays 7am - 4pm, and weekends 10am - 4pm
