Below is more information from your local Council to help you further reduce your waste and impact on our environment.
Household green waste is collected each week on the same day as your general waste. Loose items such as leaves, grass cuttings and twigs must be placed in the City’s white-coloured green waste bags for collection. These bags cost $5 each and are purchased from the City's administration building on Rokeby Road, Subiaco. • Place a minimum of four and a maximum of 10 green waste bags on the verge for collection. Your bags will not be emptied if the number do not meet these minimum and maximum quantities. • Each bag should be no heavier than 15 kg. • There should be no sand, soil or other waste in the bags. • Green waste bags should not be left on the verge between collections. Larger items such as branches and stumps may be placed in a pile for collection. • Green waste piles should be no larger than 3 m long x 1.5 m wide x 1.5 m high. Your pile will not be collected if it exceeds this volume. • Each item should be no larger than 150 mm in diameter and no heavier than 15 kg. • Branches and prunings should be no more than 1.5 m in length and placed on the verge with the cut end of the branch towards the kerb. • Items in the pile (including any roots) should not be contaminated with sand or soil. Commercial tree loppers and contractors must arrange their own green waste disposal; this will not be collected by the City.
