The Greater Shepparton City Council is committed to the conservation of the environment. The reduction of waste to landfill is an essential component of this commitment. As such, we established a construction and demolition waste recovery centre at the Shepparton Transfer Station on Wanganui Rd. This centre will take in clean concrete (reinforced and non-reinforced), bricks, roofing tiles and asphalt. The crushed material produced by this process will also be available for sale. We accept: Concrete Reinforced and non-reinforced Large lumps (> 600 x 400) and small lumps (< 600 x 400) Clay bricks and clay roofing tiles Asphalt We do not accept: Unclean concrete Only clean concrete and bricks will be accepted. This means all reinforcement must be trimmed off the outside of the concrete. Rubbish in loads Loads contaminated with other rubbish will not be accepted. Every load will be inspected prior to tipping. Mixed loads All loads should only contain a single material type, being: Concrete, concrete bricks & blocks, concrete roofing tiles OR Reinforced concrete OR Clay bricks/clay roofing tiles OR Asphalt
