Recycle Your Batteries for FREE at Aldi
Author: Zo Zhou
Not sure what to do with used batteries? Feel guilty when you throw them into the garbage? Aldi supermarkets are proud to be the first to offer a free recycling service for household - AA, AAA, C, D and 9V - batteries in every Australian store. Planet Ark is delighted to support this initiative, which will make it easy for Australians to do the right thing and protect our wildlife, soil and waterways.
To dispose of your used batteries responsibly, simply drop them into the dedicated bins at your nearest Aldi store. Any AA, AAA, C, D and 9V batteries (both rechargeable and non-rechargeable) are accepted.
Visit the RecyclingNearYou.com.au page on recycling options for car batteries and for other household battery types like buttons and 12 volts. For battery recycling at work, visit Planet Ark's BusinessRecycling site for local options.
By recycling, you'll be doing your part to help reduce the number of batteries that end up in landfill. To help you save money as well, why not pick up some rechargeable batteries during your next visit?
