Service description: Reverse Garbage is Australia’s largest creative reuse centre, committed to diverting resources from landfill – approximately 40,000 cubic metres or 100 football fields worth per year.
Reverse Garbage was established in 1974 by a group of teachers who were determined to help the environment by diverting industrial discards from landfill and by reusing materials in their classrooms.
Our Reverse Garbage Warehouse is open to the public 7 days a week to purchase a variety of reusable materials and resources at considerably discounted prices. We also offer a range of tours and educational workshops for students tailored to different ages, abilities and needs.
