Below is more information from your local Council to help you further reduce your waste and impact on our environment.
Expanded Polystrene (white solid foam used for appliance packaging and insulated boxes for fruit/veg produce, fresh produce trays for meat, veg/fruit) can now be recycled for free at the Crescent Head Rd Waste Management Centre, just collect up a box/bag of it and bring it in. Chekc out the ReUse shop while there for bargain Transh'n'Treasure finds! Batteries (single use and rechargable) taken for free recycling/ safe disposal at Waste Management Centre, all libraries and at Customer Services in special bins. You and your council rates will benefit where you can avoid Alkaline batteries (use rechargables instead) as they are not recycled but immobilised in expensive (but safe) concrete landfill!
