Recycling Tips

Only place paper and cardboard items in your blue-lid bin. Food waste can be home composted using compost bins or worm farms. Alternatively, feed food waste to chooks, pets or give to farmers with livestock. All metal items including metal jar lids, steel food cans, used aerosol cans, metal household items, and paint tins (dry paint) can be taken to Waste Transfer Stations and placed in the metal pile. E-waste and cooking oil can be dropped off at Biloela Waste Transfer Station. Motor oil can be dropped off or decanted into tanks at all Waste Transfer Stations. Lead-acid batteries can be taken to Biloela, Moura or Taroom Waste Transfer Stations. Green waste can be dropped off at all Waste Transfer Stations. Containers For Change can be dropped off at all Waste Transfer Stations or place eligible containers in docking stations on public bins in Biloela for other community members to collect.
