Council introduced a kerbside recycling service within the Mukinbudin townsite in September 2005. For those people living outside the townsite who wish to participate in the recycling program, they can dispose of recyclable items at the Mukinbudin Drop-off Facility. Empty or old ink and toner printer cartridges can be recycles by taking these items to either the Shire office, 15 Maddock Street, Mukinbudin or to the TeleCetre, 15 White Street, Mukinbudin. Bulk green waste collection service is provided to all residential properties within the townsite on the first Monday of every month. A waste motor oil collection facility is also provided.
