Events & Notices

Recycling Information

Moonee Valley operates a Transfer Station at 188 Holmes Road. The Transfer Station provides a free drop off service for a large range of materials such as Polystyrene, E-Waste and Metals. Some items including Gas bottles and Mattresses can also be recycled at a cost. Moonee Valley's award winning Re-new program, collects materials that would otherwise go to landfill using a special quarterly day after collection of the residential yellow lid bin. For more information information contact Council or check out the Re-new page on Councils' website. The Kitchen Organics Project provides residents who have a garden bin with a kitchen organics bin. This bin is for collecting food waste for home composting and worm farming. Contact Council for more information.
