Sunglass Fix

Sunglass Fix is a Supporting Sponsor of Planet Ark's National Recycling Week 2026

The Sunglass Fix began in 2006 when founder Craig Anderson couldn't find replacement lenses for a pair of scratched sunglasses and learned that around one billion pairs are made every year, with many ending up in landfill.

Twenty years later, The Sunglass Fix produces precision replacement lenses for over 600,000 frame combinations from its solar-powered workshop near Byron Bay, helping save more than half a million pairs of sunglasses so far.

Every order is shipped in packaging made from 100% recycled materials that's fully recyclable and biodegradable. Their Diamond-Bio lenses are partly made from castor oil with up to 50% lower carbon emissions, every lens has a lifetime breakage warranty, and 1% of annual sales goes to environmental causes through 1% for the Planet.

By supporting National Recycling Week, The Sunglass Fix is helping highlight the importance of repairing and reusing what we already own. Extending the life of everyday products reduces unnecessary waste, keeps valuable materials in use for longer and supports a more circular economy.
