ELECTRONIC WASTE (e-waste) Wyong Council has a centralised collection point for e-waste at Buttonderry Waste Management Facility - Hue Hue Rd, Jilliby. Wyong Shire residents can drop off up to 15 major e-waste items at no cost all year round. Acceptable items : Computer monitors, hard drives and cables, keyboards & mouse, printers & fax machines, TV's,VCR's DVD & CD players, photocopiers & scanners, mobile phones, telephones & switchboards microwaves, faulty leads & cables. No whitegoods accepted as E-Waste. However they are accepted for free as metal recycling BATTERIES AND LIGHT GLOBES Wyong Council has a recycling program for residents to bring their unwanted batteries, light globes and fluorescent tubes to collection points around the shire - the Civic Centre and the Libraries. Batteries can be accepted at all drop off points. Fluoro tubes can only be accepted at the Civic Centre. Fluoro globes are accepted at Civic Centre, Tuggerah & Lake Haven Libraries. Please note: Fluorescent tubes and light globes must be clean and unbroken to be accepted at Council's offices.
