Atherton Shire Council offers a fortnightly recycling collection service wherever there is a garbage collection service in the Shire area. The service is at this time limited to steel and aluminium cans and all plastic bottles and glass. Contact the Council on (07) 40910710 for more informationA collection centre is operated by Council and offers recycling facilities for glass, steel and aluminium cans, cardboard and paper, plastic bottles and drums, car bodies, green waste, batteries and white goods. The centre is located on Herberton Road, Atherton.
