As well as our organic, waste and recycling kerbside pick-up, we offer Tip Free Days four times a year and we are now a regional recycling hub with the opening of our $3.65 million Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and Glass Processing Plant. The MRF processes 15,000 tonnes of recyclables each year, including materials from other councils, which we on-sell to be made into new products. The adjoining Glass Processing Plant allows us to crush glass into sand and use in our road base and asphalt.
