The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is committed to a comprehensive waste managment and recycling program.
We maintain an environmentally friendly and effective waste management service. We provide kerbside recycling and waste collection, a drop-off recycling service, transfer stations in outlying centres and a waste water treatment plant.
Our main Recycling and Waste Management Facility is at Davis Road, Witchcliffe, and our staffed transfer stations are at Bay Road, Cowaramup, and Poole Road, Kudardup.
Waste Charges
General waste (per 0.25 m3 unit) $2.50
All drop-offs charged per unit (equal to one wheelie bin). Rural properties with waste card: no charge for 52 units per year (equal to kerbside collection).
Green waste (up to 1m3) No charge
Green waste (per m3 exceeding 1m3) $5.00
(Must be clean and free of all contaminants).

Small truck tyres (each) $6.00
Truck tyres (each) $12.00
Car bodies (Davis Rd only) $10.00
Asbestos (per m3) (Davis Rd only) $40.00
