Events & Notices

Residents can collect a free poly bag from the Shire's development services building, for the storage and transport of recyclable materials. Recyclable materials can be taken to the Derby Waste Management Facility where they will be packaged and transported to Broome for sorting and transport to recycling centres. The drop off facility is located at the Derby Waste Management Facility on Steel Street, and will be open to the public during the following hours Monday to Saturday - 7.00am to 4.30pm Sunday - 8.00am to 4.00pm This is a free service. By participating in the recycling program you are contributing, in a combined community effort, to reduce the amount of rubbish that is directed to landfill every year.
