  • Carpet
  • Scrap Timber
  • Mattresses
  • Empty clean paint tins, with lids off
  • Crockery and china
  • Electrical appliances, tools, equipment, mowers
  • and small car parts

Unlike traditional hard waste collection services where waste is placed out on nature strips for collection, the new service will only collect from properties that book a collection during July and August. Waste must be placed for collection within the property boundary. These conditions have been incorporated to enable compliance with occupational, health and safety requirements. Residents wishing to take advantage of the service will need to book and pay for a collection through Council. From 1 July 2012.

  • Oils
  • Paints
  • Vehicle Tyres
  • Asbestos
  • Vehicle Batteries
  • No single item that cannot be safely lifted by 2
  • people or weighs in excess of 60kg
  • No household rubbish (likely to decompose)
  • or recyclables
  • No waste generated from building, renovating or
  • demolishing a premises or fence
  • No trade waste from industrial or commercial
  • premises
  • No gas bottles or fire extinguishers
  • No unwrapped panes of glass and any form of
  • broken glass
  • No ashes or dust
  • No dirt, stones, rubble, bricks or concrete pieces
  • No liquid waste or items containing liquid
  • (e.g. oil heaters)
