All residents with a JR Richards Kerbside collection service

Materials Collected

  • Whitegoods
  • Household Furniture
  • Steel
  • Metals
  • Scrap Timber
  • Mattresses
  • Pottery, Ceramics and chinaware
  • Minor building products
  • Metal Waste (sorted separately and tins must be empty of any liquid)
  • Other bulky household items
  • Items must be able to be handled by two people
  • Loose items must be bundled or contained.

The contractor and Council have the right to reject any material that they consider unacceptable.

What can not be placed out for collection:

  • Chemicals
  • Oils
  • Paints
  • Vehicle Tyres
  • Asbestos
  • Vehicle Batteries
  • Trade and shop wastes
  • Wrecked motor vehicles, motor vehicle parts and tyres
  • Building and demolition materials, concrete and bricks
  • Lengths of material longer than 1.8m (excluding mattresses)
  • Material that cannot be reasonable removed by two people
  • Liquids of any sort
  • Batteries
  • Garden organics - grass clippings, prunings etc.

Residents with a JR Richards kerbside collection service.

Materials Collected

  • Garden Organics including:
  • Garden prunings and tree limbs no longer than 1.8m and 250mm diameter
  • Lawn clippings and loose vegetation which must be in sturdy cardboard boxes
  • All garden organics must be tied securley with rope or string (not wire) into bundles and must be of manageable size for two people to lift (Max 30kg).

The contractor and Council have the right to reject any material that they consider unacceptable.

Other Information

What can not be placed out for collection:

  • Chemicals
  • Oils
  • Paints
  • Vehicle Tyres
  • Asbestos
  • Vehicle Batteries
  • Mattresses
  • Garden Organics that have not originated from the garden of the premises being serviced
  • Items in plastic bags - including woven poly bags
  • Thorny bushes and tree stumps larger than 250mm diameter
  • Lengths of material longer than 1.8m
  • Timber with bolts, brackets etc
  • Bundles secured with wire
  • Any items other than garden organics.
